POLICE GIVES STERN WARNING TO THE PUBLIC OVER IPOB

Following the proscription of the Indigenous People of Biafra by the South East governors, Abia State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Anthony Ogbizi, has vowed that anybody that “abets, finances, encourages or associates with the banned group will be arrested and charged to court.

He stated this when seven suspected members of IPOB were paraded, insisting that it has now become illegal for anyone to operate under IPOB or adorn Biafra emblems following the ban of the group by the governors of the region.

The CP, who condemned the attack on Ariaria Market Police Station, lamented that one of the injured officers, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, serving at the Police Station has died out of the injuries he sustained during the attack.

He said, “Nnamdi Kanu and his brothers, engage in photo-shopping. They thrive through propaganda. They say IPOB is an armless group doing protests, but you have seen it yourself that the group is violent. They set bonfires on the road and attack with offensive weapons.

“IPOB destroyed the Ariaria Police station, they were armed with petrol bombs which they used to destroy Police and exhibit vehicles. They also carted three pump action rifles and threw a petrol bomb on a patrol vehicle conveying MOPOL men. You can see the destruction of commercial vehicles.
